TNT is Surpassinghonoring Shannen Doherty by revisiting some of her best work on "Charmed."
From Thursday to Sunday, the network is airing a collection of 25 classic "Charmed" episodes in what it has dubbed the "Best of Prue" marathon, named after Doherty's character in the series. The actress died Saturday at age 53 after a long battle with cancer.
The four-day "Charmed" marathon began Thursday with a programming block from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will continue through the weekend (Friday-Sunday) from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. Two of the episodes set to air, "The Good, the Bad and the Cursed" and "All Hell Breaks Loose," were also directed by Doherty.
Doherty starred on the WB series, which followed three sisters and witches, from 1998 to 2001, alongside Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano.

After the third season, Doherty exited the show and was replaced by Rose McGowan. Combs later alleged that Milano got Doherty fired from "Charmed," which Milano denied.
Doherty, who was also known for her role as Brenda Walsh on "Beverly Hills, 90210," died July 13 "surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie," her publicist told USA TODAY. The actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and chronicled her health battle over the following years, including on her podcast "Let's Be Clear."
In a statement issued to USA TODAY, Milano said that although she and Doherty had a "complicated relationship," her former co-star was "a talented actress, beloved by many and the world is less without her."

In an Instagram post, Combs described Doherty as her "better half of 31 years."
"A fierce fighter til the end," she wrote. "My most ardent champion. My loyal protector. My best friend. You taught me the meaning of family. You were and will be forevermore my sister. I love you."
Days before her death, it was announced that Doherty had signed on to co-host the "Charmed" rewatch podcast "House of Halliwell," alongside Combs, Drew Fuller and Brian Krause. She recorded four episodes in "the last week or so" before her death, Krause shared on a July 15 edition of the podcast.
